{"id":10136,"date":"2026-10-04T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T07:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=10136"},"modified":"2026-10-07T15:31:40","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T12:31:40","slug":"stir-up-your-gifts-for-gods-glory","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?ctc_sermon=stir-up-your-gifts-for-gods-glory","title":{"rendered":"STIR UP YOUR GIFTS FOR GOD&#8217;S GLORY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">STIR UP YOUR GIFTS FOR GOD&#8217;S GLORY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;WE HAVE BEEN EMPOWERED TO SERVE&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">READ&nbsp;\u25b8&nbsp;1 PETER 4:7-11<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ANCHOR VERSE &#8220;As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.&#8221; (1 Peter 4:10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Stir up the gift of God which is in you.&#8221; (2 Timothy 1:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Slide 2: A gifted steward<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. WHAT IS A GIFT?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;In general: something freely given, not earned, bought or deserved<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;We call them gifts of grace: Greek&nbsp;<em>charismata<\/em>, literally &#8220;grace-gifts&#8221; (Romans 12:6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. WHO IS A STEWARD?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;Someone trusted to manage what belongs to another<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;A steward does not own; a steward manages<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2192&nbsp;We manage God&#8217;s gifts on behalf of Christ<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Slide 3: LESSON 1 \u00b7 WE HAVE ALL RECEIVED A GIFT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No one has been left out: VERSES (1 Peter 4:10 and Romans 12:4-8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Everyone in the body of Christ has received a gift<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Not as a reward, but by grace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; &#8220;Each one&#8221; means all of us have something to do for God<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Kingdom work is not only for pastors, preachers, and worship leaders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Slide 4: LESSON 2 \u00b7 WE ARE CALLED TO USE WHAT WE HAVE RECEIVED (STEWARDSHIP)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wherever God has planted you: VERSES (1 Peter 4:11; Ephesians 4:11-16)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your cell group\/church: we are vessels in the house of God; He is not looking for perfect but willing believers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your workplace can be a mission field<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your business: a platform for Kingdom values<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your marriage can show Christ; your parenting disciples a generation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your neighbourhood can experience God&#8217;s love through you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Your resources become tools for His purposes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Slide 5: LESSON 3 \u00b7 GOD REQUIRES US TO BE FOUND FAITHFUL (ACCOUNTABILITY)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faithfulness is what God looks for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VERSES (1 Corinthians 4:2 \u00b7 Romans 14:12 \u00b7 2 Timothy 1:6-7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; It is required of stewards that one be found faithful<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Each of us will give an account of himself to God<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Picture a precious gift you gave, left untouched. How would you feel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Neglect is a missed opportunity and dishonours the Giver<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Slide 6: REFLECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; What are we doing with what God has given us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Are we faithfully stewarding His gifts of grace?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; We have been empowered to serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Serve with humility, fervency, and gratitude as unto the LORD (Colossians 3:23)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Slide 7<\/strong>. You are not too young to be used by God.\u00a0<em>Joseph, Daniel, and Esther<\/em>\u00a0were young when God used them, and each served Him through the position and work he or she was given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">YOUNG, BORN AGAIN, AND EMPOWERED TO SERVE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">| Example | Their story | For the youth | Verses |<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Joseph<\/strong>: Faithful wherever he was placed. He was 17 when he was sold and 30 when he stood before Pharaoh. He kept his integrity when no one was watching.&nbsp;&nbsp;Be faithful in the small job or first post, because God sees and promotes.&nbsp;&nbsp;Genesis 37:2; 39:2-9, 23; 41:46&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Daniel<\/strong>: Excellent in his studies and his work. He &#8220;purposed in his heart&#8221; not to defile himself, and was found &#8220;ten times better&#8221; than the others. | Study hard and work well, because excellence and conviction go together. | Daniel 1:8, 17, 20; 6:3-4&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Esther<\/strong>: Courage to use her position.
