– The Bible gives out so many scriptures that encourage believers to seek God
\n– Before we go further with the sermon,<\/p>\n

It is important to remember that God is found when we seek Him with all our heart and soul despite of the situations one may be in\u00a0Deut 4:25-31<\/p>\n

BELIEVERS SHOULD SEEK GOD BECAUSE?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

-God will bring us back from captivity, and restore us back to our original position\u00a0Jeremiah 29: 13-14<\/p>\n

-We will lack no good things\u00a0Psalm 34:10<\/p>\n

-God will never forsake us\u00a0Psalm 9:10<\/p>\n

– God will supply all our needs\u00a0Matthew 6:33<\/p>\n

-God will come near to us\u00a0James 4:8<\/p>\n

-God will rewards those who earnestly seek Him\u00a0Hebrews 11:6<\/p>\n

Hannah replied, \u201cI am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord<\/span><\/span>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

FEW BELIEVERS WE CAN LEARN FROM IN THE – OT
\n<\/strong>– HANNAH<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 Samuel 1:1-20\u00a0<\/strong>There was a certain man from Ramathaim, a Zuphite[a<\/a>]<\/sup> from the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Elkanah son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.<\/span> 2\u00a0<\/sup>He had two wives; one was called Hannah and the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none.<\/span><\/p>\n

3\u00a0<\/sup>Year after year this man went up from his town to worship and sacrifice to the Lord<\/span> Almighty at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were priests of the Lord<\/span>.<\/span> 4\u00a0<\/sup>Whenever the day came for Elkanah to sacrifice, he would give portions of the meat to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters.<\/span>5\u00a0<\/sup>But to Hannah he gave a double portion because he loved her, and the Lord<\/span> had closed her womb.<\/span> 6\u00a0<\/sup>Because the Lord<\/span> had closed Hannah\u2019s womb, her rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her.<\/span> 7\u00a0<\/sup>This went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the Lord<\/span>, her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat.<\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>Her husband Elkanah would say to her, \u201cHannah, why are you weeping? Why don\u2019t you eat? Why are you downhearted? Don\u2019t I mean more to you than ten sons?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

9\u00a0<\/sup>Once when they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah stood up. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his chair by the doorpost of the Lord<\/span>\u2019s house.<\/span>10\u00a0<\/sup>In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord<\/span>, weeping bitterly.<\/span> 11\u00a0<\/sup>And she made a vow, saying, \u201cLord<\/span> Almighty, if you will only look on your servant\u2019s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord<\/span> for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

12\u00a0<\/sup>As she kept on praying to the Lord<\/span>, Eli observed her mouth.<\/span> 13\u00a0<\/sup>Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk<\/span> 14\u00a0<\/sup>and said to her, \u201cHow long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

15\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cNot so, my lord,\u201d Hannah replied, \u201cI am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord<\/span>.<\/span> 16\u00a0<\/sup>Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

17\u00a0<\/sup>Eli answered, \u201cGo in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>18\u00a0<\/sup>She said, \u201cMay your servant find favor in your eyes.\u201d Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.<\/span><\/p>\n

19\u00a0<\/sup>Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord<\/span> and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord<\/span>remembered her.<\/span> 20\u00a0<\/sup>So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel,[b<\/a>]<\/sup> saying, \u201cBecause I asked the Lord<\/span> for him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

– HEZEKIAH
\n<\/strong>Isaiah 38:1-6\u00a0<\/strong>In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, \u201cThis is what the Lord<\/span> says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

2\u00a0<\/sup>Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord<\/span>,<\/span> 3\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cRemember, Lord<\/span>, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.\u201d And Hezekiah wept bitterly.<\/span><\/p>\n

4\u00a0<\/sup>Then the word of the Lord<\/span> came to Isaiah:<\/span> 5\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cGo and tell Hezekiah, \u2018This is what the Lord<\/span>, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.<\/span> 6\u00a0<\/sup>And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.<\/span><\/p>\n

FEW BELIEVERS WE CAN LEARN FROM IN THE – NT<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

-THE PERSISTENT WIDOW<\/strong><\/p>\n

Luke 18:1-8\u00a0<\/strong>Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.<\/span> He said: \u201cIn a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought.<\/span><\/span> And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, \u2018Grant me justice against my adversary.\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cFor some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, \u2018Even though I don\u2019t fear God or care what people think,<\/span><\/span> 5\u00a0<\/sup>yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won\u2019t eventually come and attack me!\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the Lord said, \u201cListen to what the unjust judge says.<\/span><\/span> And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?<\/span><\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

-MARY & MARTHA
\n<\/strong>John 11:1-4\u00a0<\/strong>Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.<\/span> (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.)<\/span>\u00a0<\/sup>So the sisters sent word to Jesus, \u201cLord, the one you love is sick.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>When he heard this, Jesus said, \u201cThis sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God\u2019s glory so that God\u2019s Son may be glorified through it.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>CONCLUSION
\n<\/strong>-Be encouraged to seek God diligently and tirelessly
\n-Seek God with all your\u00a0heart and soul in faith
\n-Remember God will soon\u00a0do it for you and He will not delay
