{"id":7026,"date":"2021-08-22T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2021-08-22T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=7026"},"modified":"2022-02-11T16:53:49","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T13:53:49","slug":"keep-trusting-in-the-name-of-the-lord-our-god","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?ctc_sermon=keep-trusting-in-the-name-of-the-lord-our-god","title":{"rendered":"KEEP TRUSTING IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KEEP TRUSTING IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Main Text:<strong>&nbsp;PSALM 20:1-9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Trusting in someone or something does not easily happen.<\/li><li>&nbsp;There should be factors contributing to the act of trust to emerge.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Trust require one part (or both) to:&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>believe in, have faith in, depend on, count on<\/strong>, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Ethically\/Socially&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 trust is one of the elements a moral person or leader must acquire.<\/li><li>Trust remains to be one of the critical requirements in most organizations &amp; institutions.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The Hebrew word for Trust used most often in the OT is&nbsp;<strong><em>batah \u2013&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>meaning&nbsp;<strong><em>a<u>&nbsp;feeling of security<\/u><\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>which often comes through reliance on someone or something.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The verb batah\/trust can be used with either a&nbsp;Positive&nbsp;or&nbsp;Negative&nbsp;connotation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>When&nbsp;<strong>trust focus on God<\/strong>&nbsp;it becomes \u2013 POSITIVE (<strong>PSALM 4:5<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;<em>Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the Lord).<\/em><\/li><li>When&nbsp;<strong>trust focus on human beings or things<\/strong>&nbsp;other than God it becomes NEGATIVE (<strong>PSALM<em>&nbsp;41:9<\/em><em>\u2013&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>Even my close friend, someone I trusted, has turned against me;&nbsp;<\/em><strong>PROVERBS 28:26<em>&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>Those who trust in themselves are fools\u2026.).<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Biblically&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 God remain to be trustworthy at all times \u2013&nbsp;<strong>2 TIMOTHY 2: 13<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Moreover, the Lord our God remains to be Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient.&nbsp;<\/li><li>All these facts and many others make us continue trusting in the name of the Lord our God and not in any other names or things.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It is also important to remember that human beings do change at times, making it difficult to be trusted 100%.<\/li><li>Things and institutions that we may put our trust in, they do change as well and even lose its original shape or focus;
