ALLOW GOD TO LEAD YOUR LIFE\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Introduction:<\/strong> Genesis chapter 12 gives an account of the call of Abram to depart from his own country to where God was leading him.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022His departure would result in drastic change in his entire life. The call required him to abandon his relatives, his friend, his land with different experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Change is a very difficult thing to accept especially when things appear to be going on well. Sometimes change can be scary, can generate stress and it can be threatening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u20221. GOD WILL TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE\u00a0<\/strong>(Gen. 12:1)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRANSFORMATION \u2013 a complete change in appearance or character of something or someone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) Allowing God in your life will transform your spiritual life \u2013 you cannot remain the same<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Abraham was completely changed \u2013 from the community of idol worship to a friend of God <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 41:8\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cBut you, Oh Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen,\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

you descendants of Abraham my friend.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

b)<\/strong> Faith in God caused Abram to obey the call to where He was leading him.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022He had to leave everything, his people, his relatives and  friends, to obey the call of God to go where he did not know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 12:1\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cThe Lord said to Abram,\u00a0Leave your country, your people and your father\u2019s household\u00a0and go to the land I will show you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Abram was called out at the age of 75 \u2013 My father quit\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Where he was going<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022What he would experience <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022How long his journey would take<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022What life would be when he arrives where God was leading him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022He had nothing but the promises!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Abram believed in the Lord, and that faith gave him confidence to say yes to the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Christians we can learn from the faith of Abraham<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Hear God\u2019s call and allow him to lead you, regardless of your age and your background,\u00a0\u00a0he is able to transform you into what he wants you to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022He will lead you where he wants you to be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022God has a plan for your life, just as significant as the plan he had for Abram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018God has a plan\u00a0for you\u2019\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremiah 29: 11\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cFor I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n


2. GOD WILL BLESS YOU\u00a0<\/strong>(Gen. 12:1; 13:2)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abram believed God and his promises. Genesis 12:1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022I will make you into a great nation<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022I will bless you<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be bless<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 13: 2 <\/strong>shows how God started to bless Abram<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 13: 2<\/strong> \u201cAnd Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 13:\u00a0<\/em>5 -6\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cNow Lot who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents.\u00a0<\/em> 6<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022When you allow God to lead your path, you will receive all the blessings He intends to give you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Abram did not fight for green pastures, the green pastures followed him<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gen.13: 8 \u2013 11\u00a0<\/strong>So Abram said to Lot, let us not have any quarreling between you and me or between your herdsmen and mine,\u00a0for we are brothers. Is not the whole land before you? Let\u2019s part company.\u00a0If you go to the right,\u00a0I will go to the left…\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of Jordan was well watered like the garden of the Lord\u2026so Lot chose for himself\u00a0the whole plain of Jordan\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022As a believer who is under the leading of God, do not fight with your brothers for blessings. Follow God and obey His leading, the blessings will look for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deuteronomy 28: 1- 14\u00a0<\/strong>\u201c\u00a0If you fully obey\u00a0the Lord your God\u00a0and carefully follow all his commands\u00a0I give you today,\u00a0the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations\u00a0on earth. And\u00a0all these blessings will come upon you and accompany you\u2026\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. GOD WILL MAKE YOU\u00a0A BLESSING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allow God to use you and you will become a blessing to others<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022When Abram allowed God to lead his life, he became a blessing to others <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 12:2\u00a0\u201c<\/em><\/strong>You will be a blessing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all Abram became a blessing to Lot and those around him\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, all people on earth are blessed through Abraham Genesis 22:18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022The world received Christ through Abraham\u2019s offspring, Israel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022God used Abraham\u2019s descendants to bring Jesus Christ as a Savior of the World<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022All nations are blessed through Israel, the offspring of Abraham<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022CONCLUSION:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Allow God into your life and you will experience total transformation despite your history and background. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Do you need spiritual transformation? God is willing to change you spiritual life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022Pray that God may bless you and make you a blessing to your family, your community, and to the society at large.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
