{"id":9089,"date":"2025-02-06T19:56:24","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T16:56:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=9089"},"modified":"2025-02-06T19:56:44","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T16:56:44","slug":"give-thanks-to-the-lord-with-all-your-heart","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?ctc_sermon=give-thanks-to-the-lord-with-all-your-heart","title":{"rendered":"GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART.\u00a0PSALM 9:1 \u2013 2; 103: 1 &#8211; 6 (NIV\/Swahili Translation)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reasons to give thanks to the Lord:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Psalm 103: 1 \u2013 6\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Protection, Deliverance, forgiveness, Salvation, healing, peace, and many other blessings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PRAISE\/GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART. <strong>Psalm 9:1 &#8211; 2; Psalm103:1<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key verse: Psalm 9:1a&nbsp;<\/strong><em>\u201c I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Seven Hebrew words with different ways of praising the Lord:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cBarak\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 to bless the Lord while kneeling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<strong>Psalm 95:6<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>\u201cO come, let us worship and kneel down; let us kneel&nbsp;<strong>(barak)<\/strong>&nbsp;before the Lord, our maker\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cHalal\/tehillah\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 to praise with loud music, noise and dance like a crazy person\/shout\u00a0<strong>Hallelujah<\/strong>\u00a0to the Lord.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalm 149: 3&nbsp;<em>Let them praise&nbsp;<strong>(halal<\/strong>) his name in the dance; let them sing praise with timbrel and harps.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cYadah\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 to give thanks to the Lord while lifting hands\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2Chr. 20:21<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>\u201cI will bless the Lord as long as I live; I will (<strong>yadah<\/strong>) lift up my hands in your name.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u201cShabach\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 to shout, clap and make noise of joy.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalm 47:1\u00a0<em>\u201cClap your hands,\u00a0all you nations; shout<strong>(shabach)<\/strong>\u00a0to God with cries of joy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Zamar<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 praise the Lord with music.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalm 33:2 Praise&nbsp;<strong>(zamar)<\/strong>&nbsp;the Lord with harp; make&nbsp;&nbsp;music to him on the ten-stringd lyre &#8230;play skillfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Towdah<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Thanksging associated with offerings and redeeming vows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Psalm 50: 15<\/strong><em>&nbsp;\u201cSacrifice thank offerings&nbsp;<strong>(towdah)<\/strong>&nbsp;to God,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;fulfill your vows&nbsp;to the Most High,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. THANKSGIVING INVOLVES GIVING TESTIMONIES.
