{"id":9130,"date":"2025-02-16T17:10:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-16T14:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=9130"},"modified":"2025-04-15T17:22:03","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T14:22:03","slug":"let-us-not-go-there-but-let-us-go-to-jesus","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?ctc_sermon=let-us-not-go-there-but-let-us-go-to-jesus","title":{"rendered":"LET US NOT GO THERE BUT LET US GO TO JESUS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LET US NOT GO THERE, BUT LET US GO TO JESUS<\/strong>. <strong>JOHN 6: 55 -70\u00a0<\/strong>(NKJV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a>Our message today comes as reminder to all of us that we should not go there, instead we all go to Jesus\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The term\u00a0<strong>\u201cTHERE\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0can simply mean \u2013 \u201cthat place or position\u201d. But in the context of our todays\u2019 message, it can represent:\u00a0\u00a0<ul><li>Certain places, certain people, certain things (it is popular)\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Following after people with high influence, or superstar\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Focusing on fake ministers of the gospel, spiritual father or mentor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jesus Christ having said to the Jews that,\u00a0<strong>\u201cHe is the bread which came down from heaven\u201d \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>many of them began to complain among themselves and walk away from Him \u2013\u00a0<strong>Vs. 41-43,58<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jesus went on telling the Jews that He comes from heaven, He has seen God, and God is His Father<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To the Jews \u2013 that was a hard teaching to listen to and accept it \u2013\u00a0<strong>Vs. 60<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jesus being aware of all that, He asked the 12 disciples if they also wanted to walk away from Him as the other Jews\u00a0<strong>\u2013 Vs. 67<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peter the disciple responded by saying \u2013\u00a0<em><u>Lord to whom shall we go?<\/u>\u00a0<strong>\u2013 Vs.68<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is my prayer today that all of us agree with the Apostle Peter and decide to focus and stay with Jesus and Jesus alone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is due to several factors and benefits we receive from Jesus such as:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I: THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE \u2013 Vs.68<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We can all remember how Jesus gave words of life to those who were struggling \u2013 the Samaritan woman, the bleeding woman, the blind man, feeding the hungry people, Lazarus the dead man, even the Centurion sick servant \u2013\u00a0<strong>Matthew 8:8,13<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Words of life kept coming out of Jesus which cured and blessed the needy His words are still full of life, restoration, peace, compassion, love, care, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is the words of God that will never pass away while heavens and earth will pass away \u2013\u00a0<strong>Matthew 24:35<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>II: SPECIAL ANNOINTING FOR YOU \u2013 Vs. 69<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>These days believers are moving here and there looking for anointing\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be informed that Jesus Christ has a special anointing for you\u00a0<strong>\u2013 Luke 4:18<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peter the Apostle admitted why they could not go away from Jesus \u2013 Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The name Christ carries a special meaning (to the Jews) and us all \u2013\u00a0<strong>\u201cthe anointed one\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>\u201cthe Messiah\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Christ has the anointing to serve, set free, and announce the favor to us all<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Christ is the Messiah \u2013 the King of kings and able to deliver His people\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As I conclude<\/strong>, let us remember that Jesus Christ is our shepherd and with Him, we lack nothing \u2013&nbsp;<strong>Psalm 23:1&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And for that case, let us not go&nbsp;<strong>there<\/strong>&nbsp;but remain with Jesus always despite of the circumstances. May we purpose to focus on Jesus alone and nothing else. Let us be able to proudly say like Peter &#8211;&nbsp;<strong>\u201c<em>Lord to whom shall we go\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>even if we may happen to see others or friends walking away from Jesus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LET US NOT GO THERE, BUT LET US GO TO JESUS.
