{"id":9413,"date":"2025-11-23T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=9413"},"modified":"2026-01-16T15:35:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T12:35:24","slug":"let-us-go-to-jesus","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/dpc.or.tz\/?ctc_sermon=let-us-go-to-jesus","title":{"rendered":"LET US GO TO JESUS\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>MATTHEW 11:28-30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When Jesus announced that we all go unto him to receive rest for our troubles, it is clear that Jesus knew how people are suffering\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The troubles of this world make people at times give up their faith in God\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jesus Christ knowing what people go through, he gives a call full of comfort and compassion that when we are weary and burdened \u2013 we run unto Him<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is a calling that focus on giving us rest and hope to our faith in Chris\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I#&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;JESUS WILL GIVE US REST&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Matthew 11: 28-30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It should be remembered that in Jesus there is true rest \u2013 rest of joy\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In most cases a person who is tired due to several troubles \u2013 needs rest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rest gives a person new energy and a new state to continue ahead\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rest can give a person new ideals and strategy on how to move ahead<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jesus promised to give rest to those who are troubled and heavily burdened\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These can be troubles of hunger, sickness, poverty, wars and fighting (physically, spiritually, family, relationship, or even in ministry to God)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Jesus to give us rest from those troubles, we must go unto Him\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let us believe in him, rely on him, and pray to him as Christ used to do unto His Father &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Luke 6:12,\u00a0<\/strong>let\u2019s also keep praying\u00a0<strong>\u2013 Matthew 7:7-8<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>II#&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;JESUS WILL INCREASE OUR FAITH&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Luke 17:1-5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When a person is overwhelmed with life burdens and troubles as we just mentioned \u2013 hunger, sickness, poverty, and many other temptations \u2013 his or her faith at times may decline or waver.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is way Jesus wants us to take heart \u2013 he has overcome the world and so by his power we will do &#8211;\u00a0<strong>John 16:33<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If we go unto Jesus \u2013 he will surely increase our faith so we can overcome temptations that comes our way \u2013\u00a0<strong>Mark 9:14-29 &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0(parent of the child) and\u00a0<strong>Matthew17:19-21<\/strong>&#8211; (his disciples)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LASTILY,&nbsp;<strong>Matthew 8:23-27&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 going unto Jesus when we are overwhelmed with burdens and troubles it is a step even the disciples of Jesus took.
