Statement of Faith

What we believe At DPC :
  1. That the Bible is God’s inspired infallible and authoritative Word of God and the only rule of Christian faith and for Christian conduct.
  2. That there is only one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
  3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations.
  4. That the only means of salvation is through repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that this results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
  5. That the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing in the human body in answer to the believing prayer.
  6. That the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the outward evidence of speaking in tongues according to Acts 2 is given to believers who meet God’s conditions for receiving.
  7. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
  8. In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life, and the other to everlasting damnation.

Water Baptism

We believe in water baptism for anyone old enough to accept Jesus Christ as savior and Lord. We are baptized in obedience to Jesus’ command that all believers are to be baptized. We baptize by immersion because this represents the burying (in a symbolic “water grave”) of our old way of living in order to arise out of the waters and walk in a new way of life. This identifies us with Christ’s death and resurrection.

Holy Communion

His blood (which was an acceptable sacrifice to the Father for our sins).

We celebrate Communion because it reminds us of what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross. The juice makes us remember His blood (which was an acceptable sacrifice to the Father for our sins), and the bread causes us to remember His body (which was beaten and bruised for us so we could be healed). Holy Communion is open to all who have consciously accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are baptized.

The parents come forward to first rededicate themselves to God.

Baby Dedication
The Baby Dedication Service is a symbolic act of parents giving their children to the Lord. The parents come forward to first rededicate themselves to God. Parents promise to live Godly lives in order to teach their children by example what it is to be a Christian. Then our pastor blesses the child and leads the congregation in a prayer of committing the child into the presence of God.

To be an international church with significant growth in quality and quantity.— Vision

Mission – To make sinners saints, lead them to worship God in Spirit and truth; to help them become committed members of the local church; to nurture them unto Christ –like maturity; and to equip all the members to use their God given potential for ministry locally and abroad.
