EXODUS 14:10-14
– One of the most touching events regarding the children of Israel on their journey from slavery to the promised land – Canaan is when they crossed the Red See
– This was humanly impossible but by the power and might of God the Sea parted and the children of Israel passed through
– All of this was done so that God would take glory for Himself and further prove that He is the great God and the creator of all things – Vs. 4
Briefing on the Israelites Story:
– We all know that the Israelites were taken into slavery in Egypt – (400 years)
– When it was time for them to leave slavery to go to the promised land – Canaan
– Pharaoh was not ready to let them go but to continue to enslave them
– After many plagues from God – Pharaoh let them go
– Pharaoh sees that he has made a mistake in letting the Israelites go – Vs.5
– So, he makes the decision to follow them and bring them back into slavery
– He does so without knowing that GOD is with the Israelites
– And that is when Pharaoh and his entire army are destroyed by God.
– God declares the destruction of the Egyptians – the enemies of the Israelites and that they will never be seen again – And, that is what happened.
Lessons to take home:
I pray tonight that
#1. WHAT HURT YOU IN 2024 WILL NOT HURT YOU IN 2025
– Because the Lord Himself will fight for you, and you will be silent
– You must move forward regardless of the circumstances – (The Great Sea)
– Believe that the Lord will lead you through the sea on dry land
– God will do this for you so that He Himself may take glory and honor
– 2025 will be the year of knowing that God is on your side
– God will stretch out His hand to defend you, and you will see your prayers being answered
#2. CONTINUE TO PUT YOUR HOPE IN GOD
– Continuing to trust God is continuing to trust God
– Trusting God gives us the strength to pass and cross the desert
– Trusting God makes us not die in the desert even if there is death
– Hope gives us to pass through the valley of the shadow of death without fear – Psalm 23:4
– Trusting in God removes our fear and gives us to stand firm
– Trusting in God brings us salvation and victory over any enemy
– Trusting in God gives us to reach and see the end of the journey
– Lack of hope and faith in God can cause you to die or stay in the desert for a long time – (Israel 40 years) without crossing.
Let me end by encouraging you that, 2025 move forward trusting in God because he is your portion – Lamentations 3:24
He himself will make a way out even if you are surrounded by the great Sea.
Start the year with great faith and hope that what tormented you in 2024 will not torment you in 2025.
