THURSDAY 9TH JAN 2025 – LISTENING AND OBEYING THE VOICE OF GOD.
1. Ask God to enable you to hear and obey his voice whenever he speaks to you in various ways.
a) Give us the effort to listen to his voice: Deut 28:1, 2. b) Remove the laziness of listening to him: Heb 5:11
c) Remove the weight from the heart of hearing him: Acts 28:27
d) Give us an understanding in mind. Math 13:14-16
e) Give us the understanding of the heart: Acts 27:28
2. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you and his church as it was in the first church of the Apostles in the Book of Acts. Acts 13:1-2
a) Let him say with us: Acts 13:1-2;
b) May he increase us in the truth: John 16:13 c) Teach us and remind us: John 14:26
3. Pray for yourself so that you have the discipline to spend quality time with God and grow in knowing Him.
a) Setting aside a quiet time: Luke 5:15-16, Luke 6:12
b) Revelation to know him better: Ephesus: 1:17
4. Pray for church leaders from the national level to the local church to be careful in hearing and obeying the voice of God so that they are not people who rely on their own minds.
a) Work in God’s wisdom. 1 cor 2:4-5
b) Walking in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit
c) Relying on God: Proverbs 3:5-6
