IT WILL BE WELL WITH YOU

ISAIAH 3:10

In connection to the last Sunday preaching by Rev. Safari which reminded us to thank God by faith for our breakthrough, to day I would like us again to continue giving thanks to our God knowing that it will be well with us.

Chapter 3 of Isaiah narrates out how God was to take away everything from the city of Jerusalem and Judah (as part of the judgement from God for their evils). But in between of the story, there is good news to the righteous that – IT WILL BE WELL WITH THEM and they were going to enjoy the fruit of their deeds.

What do that tell us or communicate to us?

It is telling us that – despite the evil life that may take place in the city, the righteous ought to maintain their Christian standard of living which is living a holy life while knowing that holy living will protect them from the judgement of God.

When the Bible says that “it will be well with you” it means that God is with you and He will be on your side – ISAIAH 41:10. We can also understand the statement based on what Rev. Abel – our senior pastor gave one of the Sunday that – God will command the situation/challenge you are going through to treat you differently from how it treat others.

Therefore, if it will be well with us what then should we do (Our sermon Lesson)

  • GIVE THANKS TO GOD

In most cases many people are not thankful when they know they are going to face hard times. But for us believers, let’s gives thanks to God since we believe that it will be well with us.

LAMENTATION 3: 22 – 23

  • We are to thank God for His great love to us that care for us to the point that we are not consumed
  • We are to thank God for His compassion that never fail us – instead they are new every morning to keep and save for us
  • We are to thank God for His great faithfulness to us

PSALM 40: 1-3

  • We are to thank God because He will make a place for us to stand on
  • We are to thank God because He is going to put a new song in our month

2 TIMOTHY 4: 16-18

  • We are to thank God because He will stand at our side and strengthen us
  • We are to thank God because he will rescue us from every evil attack
  • We are to thank God because He will lead us to His heavenly kingdom

As I conclude my message, let me encourage every one of us to continue giving thanks to God knowing that it will be well with us.

Let’s make use of the opportunity the church has given us to thank God through a thanksgiving offering and I want to believe that all of us have made use of the opportunity and if not kindly plan to do so now or at any other time.

Let us all learn to give to God all kinds of thanksgiving offerings – including songs of worship and praise, prayers, time, skills, money and many other materials knowing that it will be well with us.
